We used the services of Chris Gardner & Sons to redevelop a property purchased in Renhold Beds. It is an older cottage property and the change was to build a two storey and single storey extension to carefully designed plans as we wanted to blend new with old and not change the exterior to be out of contrast with our neighbours. After many quotes Chris was our preferred builder for many reasons including * his open honest approach to the quotation provided * his attention to detail on the many aspects of the plans * his close consideration of the plans early in the planning and willingness to refer to the architect when assumptions had been made and where perhaps an alternative option could be applied and still achieve the desired outcome * the high opinion and acknowledgement the architect had of Chris’s work The early views were proven to be right from the time we gave him the contract and throughout the build * he was punctual and true to his word at all stages of the build * he would consult with us where small glitches seemed to appear, but few were of a scale to be concerned but Chris’s attention to detail and openness was his way of engaging with us throughout the build * the quality of the build was excellent it was a large project which went smoothly throughout * where sub-contractors were required for plumbing etc he provided us with clear details and contacts and allowed us to liaise direct. Each contact was of high quality and had previous experience of working with Chris and were happy to be working alongside him again Chris was of interest to many in the village all closely watching as the building progressed, he had to deal with intrigued and enquiring neighbours and managed those professionally.
