These clients loved their house but wanted a larger kitchen dinner/lounge so all the family could be in one room without feeling cramped. We created this space by extending to the rear of the house by removing the main wall at the back of their home. To make the area light and airy, we installed large bi-folding doors that open up onto a raised patio. We incorporated a vaulted ceiling with large Velux roof windows, further enhancing the sense of light and space. The whole area was complemented with the installation of parquet flooring and a high-end modern kitchen. Dreton are still in contact with the clients, who assure us that they are still very much in love with their new home.
The clients in this project own a lovely large period home with lots of original features, which they live in with their extended family. They needed extra space for the amount of people living there and needed the downstairs to work for all of their individual needs. They decided to go ahead with a double storey rear extension, creating a large kitchen whilst remodelling the ground floor. The first floor extension became a large master bedroom with an en-suite and separate dressing area. This build had wow factor features such as a centrally located fireplace, which we opened up to create a fireplace serving two rooms allowing you to see straight through it. The kitchen has a very modern feel to it but is blended well with the original features of this Victorian house. Most of the finish to this extension is bespoke, such as skirting boards and architraves made by us to match the originals. We installed a large patio leading from the bi-folding doors of the kitchen, making the garden feel like an extension of the kitchen space.
Our clients here live in a large 1930’s house, with a garage to the side. The primary aim of this build was to create a large bedroom for their daughter on the first floor, with an additional en-suite, and to create a designated dining room for formal occasions on the ground floor. We achieved this by demolishing the existing garage and creating a two-storey side extension. The resulting bedroom and en-suite is a sleek and stylish addition to their home, with a larger than average en-suite. On the ground floor we created a large opening from the dining room to the hallway to better configure the downstairs area. Our clients were amazed at how much space they had freed up from their old garage and kindly recommended us to their neighbours. Dreton has since completed three further home extensions on the road, which is the biggest compliment we can receive.
