The reconstruction of this oak, Grade II listed farmhouse concentrated on returning many of its original and historic features. The Farmhouse is situated in a unique location in Surrey. It is designed to maximise and benefit from the stunning views across its beautiful surroundings with a large bespoke corner window. The planning permission dictated that the footprint of the building was to remain the same as the existing barn and that the original external fabric of the barn was utilised on the finished project. With the footprint remaining as existing, the layout maximises the space available to provide a 1-bedroom and 1-bathroom annex. Internally the living space includes hand built oak joinery. The internals are comprised of modern fixtures and fittings. The external oak cladding and reclaimed peg roof tiles allow for the building as requested to blend into the Surrey countryside by replicating an established farm building.
