Arrad Foot, Ulverston

Arrad Foot is a design and build project on the refurbishment of an old barn near Ulverston, in the Lake District. As an ongoing project for us, we regularly liase with our clients who have ultimately become our friends over this personal, bespoke build project.
Arrad Foot has been designed and built as a residential development but with the opportunity to host a gallery space in the future in mind. Impressive oak timber features and large, airy open spaces make this building the perfect candidate for that.
As well as being visually striking, Arrad Foot is a highly environmentally conscious project with renewable solar energy and ground source heat pumps used to power and heat the building. We liased with renewable specialists to ensure the optimum solution for our clients.

Kemple Barn, Clitheroe

Kemple Barn is a timber framed 600sq m new build house with massive architectural merit. It is approaching the standard of a passive house - a rigorous, voluntary standard for energy efficiency in a building, reducing its ecological footprint.
Completely larch clad with a flat roof, it is supremely insulated with a heat recovery system bringing fresh air inside constantly but re-using the heat recycled from the replaced air. It features a DMX system allowing our client to program many aspects of the house such as the lighting.
On-site co-ordination with our client has ensured the project has run smoothly to their precise specification.

Twin Lakes Country Club

Our biggest and most exciting project yet, the Twin Lakes Country Club on the edge of the Lake District.
The homes at Twin Lakes Country Club offer contemporary country living, meticulously designed to complement and enhance the environment around them, featuring an exquisite glass frontage that affords guests a panoramic view of the waterfront and the countryside beyond.
JT Builders undertook the major earth works, landscaping and groundworks, infrastructure and drainage for the construction of these 53 identical, luxury homes with highly integrated timber frames and larch cladding We utilised as many local materials as possible such as limestone.
