A dilapidated ex local authority rental has been turned into a contemporary living & entertaining home by Lethbridge London. The property was taken back to the four perimeter walls. Structural alterations, included the removal of two load bearings walls, which was required to create an open plan living/kitchen area, and a larger second bedroom.

The new open plan kitchen, included marble worktops and splash backs. New electrics throughout and a new domestic hot and cold water system was implemented for the new boiler. New engineered wooden flooring laid & a suspended soundproof ceiling using tecsound 100 and sound block plasterboard was installed in order to help combat sound problems.

A new ensuite master bathroom was installed and the creation of a new master bedroom & guest bedroom, which included bespoke fitted wardrobes.

For the exterior, the intricate lead hoppers and downpipes were restored, taken back to the original leadwork and painted. Timing and speed was crucial on this project due to building's close proximity to St James’s Palace, with a high volume of pedestrian traffic in and amongst our working space. Read less

Lethbridge worked with the excellent designer Olivia Emery, installing a new heating and lighting system along with new flooring, a fireplace, handmade bookcases, floating shelves and a banquette. A bespoke box for the children’s toys was built to the same design. Under stair units were added to deal with storage issues and we also redecorated most of the house, including some wonderful wallpaper in the master bedroom. The project incorporated building and design, transforming both the look and layout of the whole house. Work was finished in May 2017. Read less

Working alongside the brilliant interior designer Olivia Emery, we performed a wide variety of works including roofing, bespoke joinery, new sash windows, decoration, new bathrooms, electrics and garden fencing. We relocated the internal structural walls, transforming the excessively large and oddly positioned master bedroom into the sitting room/kitchen leading out onto a terrace. A second bedroom was been introduced with the newfound space. Finally, we lifted the hallway ceiling to its original height to make the property’s ceilings uniform as well as allowing for more space and daylight. Read less

The property had been left derelict for 10 years and so we stripped the entire building and then had it rewired, along with some major plumbing work. We laid sound-proofing underneath the new oak flooring and fitted a new kitchen and two bathrooms. Lethbridge designed and built bespoke alcove cupboards for maximum storage and then decorated the property throughout to give this Georgian gem a new lease of life. The inspirational Eyre Interiors team carried out the interior design work. Read less
