Niblock are a building company based in Anerley, South East London, that specialise in maintenance, refurbishment and renovation projects. We take on a wide range of construction contracts, ranging from traditional types of contract to formal Partnering Agreements.
Founded in 1959, we take pride in our staff and their development. This is supported by the fact that our managment staff have an average tenure of employment of 17 years. Indeed, two of our employees began their careers with us as apprentices and over the course of 25 years have risen to hold senior positions. This is due to the traditional values we hold and our ideology of working together with our clients, as opposed to simply working for them. This ‘collaborative’ ethos is maintained throughout the company from board to site level.
Refurbishment and Regeneration
Refurbishment works are the cornerstone our business. We undertake major estate and regeneration works for both private and public sector clients throughout London and the South East
Working collaboratively with our clients, we ensure that resident's needs and requirements are fully understood, allowing us to provide a fully tailored approach.
Our experience and expertise is not confined to estate regeneration, but also includes working with clients on Sheltered Housing Schemes, Educational premises, Public buildings, Hostels, Museums, Metropolitan Police properties, Libraries, Listed Buildings and Conservation areas (working closely with Conservation Architects and English Heritage).
Working in a true spirit of partnership through Framework Agreements, Term Contracts and stand-alone projects we have built a solid reputation for reliability, dependability and integrity.
Our portfolio of refurbishment schemes range in value from £50k Educational projects, to £5.0 million estate regeneration schemes.
Repairs and Maintenance
To support our refurbishment and regeneration service, we undertake planned maintenance, cyclical repair and redecoration and fire risk assessment works (FRA) for our private and public sector clients, throughout a diverse range of property types, from Street properties to multi-storey blocks.
Using our refurbishment experience, we provide a one-stop-shop for void property refurbishment contracts.  Undertaking initial joint client surveys we prepare fully costed Niblock ‘Mini-Bills’ (as a benchmark for out-turn costs), prepare kitchen and bathroom drawings for Client approval and undertake full asbestos, gas and electrical surveys. Giving our clients peace of mind that the property will be completed and returned within targeted timelines to provide a much needed new home, and to minimise the rent loss incurred. 
Electrical and Mechanical
Following the award of our first Electrical Term Testing & Inspection Contract in 2008, we have developed our electrical division to provide a full electrical contracting design and installation service.
Clients can now use our services to undertake Landlord’s Statutory Inspections on their behalf, together with replacement lateral sub-mains, new distribution boards and sub-boards, emergency and communal lighting upgrades, fire alarm installations, door entry systems, CCTV, small power and lighting rewires/upgrades, new containment systems and general electrical contracting services.
