National President Phillip Hall invites all FMB members to join us for the 2026 National Conference, sponsored by People’s Pension on Thursday 9 July and Friday 10 July. Set in the beautiful Oxford Belfry Hotel & Spa, this two-day flagship event brings together FMB members and industry leaders from across the UK to explore the theme Elevating Your Business. The conference will finish with a spectacular black-tie Gala Dinner at the historic Exeter College in the heart of Oxford.

We'll be joined by Philippa Forrester as Business Conference chairperson, and by Eve Pollard, who will be giving an after dinner speech at the Gala Dinner.
Thursday 9 July 
  • Open FMB National Board Meeting 
    See how the FMB shapes national policy and supports members across the UK including a presentation of the FMB 2027-2030 corporate strategy.
  • Networking Evening (ticketed) 
    A relaxed gathering featuring Pimm’s on the lawn and a generous BBQ – perfect for meeting new contacts and reconnecting with peers.
Friday 10 July 
  • Half-day Business Conference 
    Chaired by broadcaster and journalist Philippa Forrester, the conference will explore leadership, business growth, and the key challenges facing the industry today. Delegates will also have the opportunity to join one in-depth masterclasses on either digital marketing, coaching skills powered by AI, and choosing the right technology for their business. The morning concludes with a networking lunch and refreshments.
  • Free time in the afternoon 
    In the afternoon, enjoy free time to use the hotel’s leisure facilities, explore Oxford, or simply relax with colleagues or your partner. 
  • Gala Dinner at Exeter College 
    To round off the day, the Gala Dinner begins with a drinks reception in the Fellows Garden (weather permitting), sponsored by TradePoint, with stunning views across to the Bodleian Library. This is the perfect opportunity to learn more about the beautiful architecture of Oxford University and connect with fellow members. Dinner will be served in Exeter College’s historic Dining Hall, where guests will enjoy a three-course meal followed by an after-dinner speech from author and journalist Eve Pollard. Black tie and evening wear requested.

A members-only meeting which starts with a light lunch, refreshments will be provided throughout.

Thursday Networking Evening
Includes a welcome drink of Pimms or prosecco, a further drink (wine, beer, or a soft drink), and BBQ.

  • Member: £59 + VAT
  • Associate: £59 + VAT

Friday 10 July

Business Conference
Includes morning refreshments and light networking lunch.

Gala Dinner
Includes a welcome drink and half a bottle of wine per person (or a soft‑drink alternative). Coach transfers will be provided from the hotel to Exeter College. An afterparty, including a DJ and a welcome back drink at the hotel, will take place from 11pm.

Dress is black tie and evening wear.

  • Member single ticket: £125 + VAT 
  • Associate single ticket: £150+ VAT 
  • Non-member single ticket: £250 + VAT

Accommodation*
Overnight stay includes breakfast served in the hotel's restaurant.

  • Single occupancy: £110 + VAT
  • Double occupancy: £130 + VAT

*Only available to be booked directly through the FMB up to 6 weeks before the event. Accommodation bookings made after 26 May will need to be made directly with the hotel at prevailing rates.
