Join us for a free afternoon networking and business event sponsored by TradePoint on Wednesday 8 June. The event is hosted by FMB North and is open to all FMB members. Come along and meet your fellow members, take part in the North Counties AGM, discuss industry best practice, and have a drink together. 

About this event

The afternoon will start with FMB Northern Counties 2022 AGM and open Board meeting, followed an informal business breifing for members, and round off with a drinks reception.

Join Caroline and Lauren for a couple of hours along with fellow FMB members where you can discuss industry best practices, hear from engaging speakers and make some local connections. There will also be an opportunity to meet some of your Northern Counties Board representatives.

We have a speaker Rachel Hogarth attending from Hard Hat Training Services Limited who will cover how to maximise training funds to ensure you as a construction employers can access the right skills and training to facilitate your business grow and develop.    

The event is free for FMB members, both FMB North Director Caroline Meehan and FMB North Membership Engagement Executive Lauren Scruby hope to see you all there. 

The dress code for this event is casual attire.

Rachel Hogarth

Rachel Hogarth

Director, Hard Hat Training Services Limited

Rachel Hogarth is a chartered member of the CIPD and has been supporting construction companies with their training activities for over 20 years. Much of her experience was gained as Company Development Adviser for the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), providing business support services and advising employers on grant recovery. She has also worked for a number of contractors directly (Bowey Group, Mansell Construction Services NE and Balfour Beatty) in a variety of HR and training roles. Since 2015, Rachel has been supporting construction SMEs across the UK, on a consultancy basis, to identify and deliver on their training needs and to maximise their training budgets by securing funding and grants.

Caroline Meehan

Northern Regional Director, Federation of Master Builders

Caroline Meehan is the Northern Regional Director at the Federation of Master Builders (FMB). Since joining the FMB in February 2018, Caroline has successfully grown the Northern boards and introduced several key strategies to increase member engagement through the North and UK.  She has strengthened relationships with LABC to encourage a stronger partnership between both FMB and LABC and now sits on several committees and Boards, such as Leeds College of Building, Vice Chair of Construction Alliance North East, Working Well Together N&W Yorkshire and NE and Health and Safety groups.

Prior to working for the FMB, Caroline lived and worked in Australia where she founded a not for profit charity, Heartfelt Homes. Caroline won several awards for her work and was nominated for the pride of Australia medal.
