Running from 8-12 August, the Green Home Festival will feature 12 shows, which are all free to attend. Some will be in-person and hosted at the offices of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors at 10 Charlotte Square in Edinburgh. Others will be delivered online via webinar or on-site at locations around the city.

We will be among those presenting events, hosting an in-person show entitled Improving energy efficiency that will offer a real-life example of the fabric-first approach via a tour of the Murrayburn site in Edinburgh with FMB members A.C. Whyte & Co Ltd.

This and all of the other shows will run for around one hour. Members are very welcome to attend any of the shows during the festival, and for members in or near Edinburgh, please join us for the AC Whyte led show in Murrayburn, Edinburgh at 10.30am on Wednesday 10 August.

To book your place at this show please email [email protected].

What is the Green Home Festival?

The Green Home Festival is the brainchild of the Construction Industry Collective Voice (CICV), a coalition of Scotland's leading construction trade and professional bodies.

FMB Scotland is one of the organisers of the Green Home Festival: with the climate emergency, delivering retrofit, net zero and soaring energy prices being the driving factors behind it. Our aim is to engage the public and businesses in the global challenge, offering demonstrations and hands-on guidance to help everyone reduce their carbon footprint and become more energy efficient. With the ongoing cooperation of the Scottish construction sector including other FMB members, the CICV plans to make the festival an annual event that will help build a long-term legacy.
