Speakers included the First Minister Michelle O’Neill, deputy First Minister Emma Little-Pengelly and the Lord Caine, NIO Parliamentary Under Secretary of State.

The UK Government has invested £617 million pounds in the four Region City Deals across Northern Ireland, including £350 million for the Belfast Region City Deal.

The briefing event revealed the progress already being made and the many economic opportunities being unlocked through the ten-year project.

FMB NI have been involved for over 3 years in championing the need for investment in skills and making procurement accessible for SME contractors. Certainly, we would encourage members to seek out the funding competitions available - these will be released by Belfast City Council in the months ahead.
