In September we shared details of a pilot scheme run by CITB to benefit the homebuilding sector and aimed at CITB registered companies and their supply chains based in the North of England, the South East and London. From 6 November 2023 this scheme expands to cover all of England, providing opportunities for even more FMB members to access support.
Access funded training for homebuilders
Farhan Sattar from CITB provides more information on this expansion:
‘The CITB Homebuilders Employer Network to access funded training to support the sector is now expanding nationwide from the 6 November to include CITB Registered Homebuilders and Supply Chain Trades based across the whole of England. Previously only covering the North of England, South East and London this is a great opportunity for even more CITB Registered companies to take advantage of the funded training on offer that is more easier to access than ever.’
How it works:
- The Homebuilders’ Employer Network is active and is funding training for CITB Registered Homebuilders and companies in their supply chain based in England.
- CITB are funding training specifically to benefit the homebuilding sector and this includes a variety of courses related to Building Regulations and Controls, Defects Prevention, Mental Health Awareness as well as Brickwork CPD courses amongst others.
- The network can provide support with finding training provision and accessing funding for it. The network would book the training for you as well as fully fund or heavily subsidise it, ensuring the whole process is seamless.
