This project saw Modplan Building & Refurbishment Contractors take on the extensive refurbishment of a Grade II Listed property, including the demolition and replacement of an exterior barn. The new barn consists of a timber frame built using materials reclaimed from the original, and features striking vaulted ceilings and external timber cladding. This modern bathroom is housed within the new structure together with a small kitchenette area, impressing the judges with "a fantastic finish in-keeping with the period but with a very modern twist." Despite logistical complications the build was delivered on-time, within budget and with a high specification of fixtures and fittings.
