If you are looking for a builder to carry out energy efficient repairs, maintenance and improvement works to your home or even a builder to create your dream sustainable home please check the FMB's find-a-builder website or contact your local FMB office who can advise you of local specialists 'green' builders.
Each year the FMB's Master Builder of the year awards, which can only be won by builders who have been nominated by highly satisfied clients, recognise builders that have made a significant contribution to 'green' building through it's Waste Minimisation category for the builder who demonstrates the adoption of best practice, designed to minimise waste and disposal costs, increase resource efficiency and increase profits. As well as it's Energy Efficiency category for the project that demonstrates the best use of energy efficiency features, designed to save energy, reduce costs and the overall environmental impact.
The FMB is working with all its members to help encourage environmentally conscious building work. There are plenty of other builders that deserve a mention. The next section highlights just a few.
Judging is currently underway for the 10th Anniversary Master Builder of the Year Awards.
