The country will go to the polls on 12 December to vote for who they think should be in Government for the next five years.
Whoever will lead the next Government will have many big issues to contend with from the housing crisis to the climate emergency.
The construction industry, which accounts for 9% of GDP and employs 2.7 million people across the UK will be instrumental for building the homes we need and the vital infrastructure that will underpin the UK’s success post-Brexit.
Construction companies will also play a key role in helping the Government reach a net-carbon Britain by undertaking the retrofit works that are necessary to upgrade and decarbonise our existing housing stock.
Builders across the UK stand ready to meet the challenges ahead but need support to do this. The FMB have produced a 12-point programme for the new Government to empower the UK’s construction industry to meet the challenges ahead.
