Our home security experts look into Blink home security cameras, from the models available to their features and reviews, so you can decide whether they’re right for your household.
Blink is an Amazon brand, so a sister company to Ring, which providers affordable and easy-to-use home security cameras. Unlike most of its competitors, it doesn’t offer many ready-made home security systems; instead, you can simply choose from the brand’s few devices and assemble them as you please to protect your home.
Blink cameras and doorbells are made to be self-installed and self-monitored, which helps reduce their price. You’ll need a Sync Module to store a limited amount of footage locally, which is included in Blink packages but generally has to be bought on top of individual cameras. If you want to record, save or send footage from one or more cameras, you’ll need to take out one of Blink’s affordable subscriptions.
Read on to find out the features, price, and pros and cons of different Blink security cameras.

Blink’s newest camera is a wireless HD outdoor smart security camera with 2-way audio, infrared night vision and dual-zone motion detection. The resolution is only 1080p, but it is still HD, so it should deliver visuals clear enough for anyone to make out.
To help with your neighbours’ privacy, you can choose to create Privacy Zones on the Outdoor 4 camera. With the Blink subscription (optional), you can receive alerts when a person is detected by the camera.
The Blink Outdoor 4 has a sleek, all-black design to easily blend into the walls outside your home, and it is IP65-rated to withstand most weather conditions.

The Blink Indoor is Blink’s standard wireless indoor security camera. It comes with 1080p HD resolution, motion detection, 2-way audio, and infrared night vision. Like other Blink cameras and doorbells, it is compatible with Amazon Alexa, so you can voice-control it.
Design-wise, it’s a small and discreet black and white box that you can mount or place wherever you want. We think it’s a very pleasing design that would blend in seamlessly with most interiors.
Interestingly, it’s the only Blink camera that isn’t cheaper than its competition, as Ring’s Indoor Camera 2nd Gen is just £49.99.

The Blink Mini 2K+ is a small wired camera that can be used indoors or outdoors (although you will need a Blink Weather Resistant Power Adaptor for outdoor use, which is sold separately). It comes packed with features including HD colour night vision, a built-in spotlight, 2-way audio and motion detection. As with all Blink cameras, you can voice control it with an Amazon Alexa.
Design-wise, this little camera is really discreet so it won’t be an eyesore in your living room or bedroom. It comes in black or white colourways. As its name implies, the Blink Mini 2K+ is truly mini and much smaller than the standard Blink Indoor camera, with a footprint of just 51x51x40mm.
With a small size also comes a small price tag, as the Blink Mini 2 will only set you back £39.99. The previous version of this camera, the Blink Mini, is compatible with a handy pan-tilt mount so your camera can rotate and follow subjects in the video.

The Blink Video Doorbell is a fairly standard video doorbell with all the usual features, including 2-way audio, 1080p HD day and night video, and motion detection.
Like many of Blink’s products, it runs on batteries, so you do run the risk of them running out, but they are supposed to last around 2 years. You can also choose to wire the Blink doorbell to your existing doorbell wiring so it sounds your in-home bell as well.
Design-wise, it looks a lot like the Ring doorbell, and comes in black and white colourways. It is IP65-rated so it can withstand a decent amount of rain or snow.

As of February 2026, a Blink UK page on Trustpilot (unclaimed by the company) has a very low score of 1.3 stars out of 5, but then again most home security equipment providers do.
On Amazon, the brand’s cameras are highly rated (4.3 stars for the Blink Indoor), with customers praising the ease of use and setup. Some users report issues with the cameras’ functionality, including issues with motion detection and connectivity.
Blink cameras and doorbells are incredibly affordable, but you do get what you pay for in terms of quality and functionality. Their low price means they definitely aren’t the most reliable or high-spec on the market, but if budget is your primary concern, then Blink products will grant you peace of mind at a minimal cost.
Blink cameras and doorbells are available to purchase on Amazon.
You can purchase 2 Blink Mini cameras for just £49.99 on Amazon.
No, Blink and Ring are 2 separate home security providers, although both brands are owned by Amazon.
