Unit 10, Field Farm,
A complete refurbishment; strip and recover all roof areas, new fascias and soffits, reduce height of the main chimney, re-point all elevations with lime mortar, renewal of services, conversion of double garage into study, create an opening between the main building of the Old Rectory and the cottage extension on the ground floor, new entrance surround on south elevation . Sister company, BarrJoinery replaced all windows and doors.
Upper Green Farm
A new build contemporary barn-style self contained annex with mezzanine bedroom. The bathroom, kitchen and living space offers a stunning open plan space below, complete with built in storage by BarrJoinery and free standing wood burning stove. Oak cladding with shadow gap, traditional stone walls and old brick work all work together to blend the old and the new.
Elyx at the Groucho Club
The terrace renovation for London’s infamous Groucho Club was designed by Shaun Clarkson ID, on behalf of Pernod Ricard UK, in line with the international Absolut Vodka ELYX Brand houses. The BarrJoinery wire mesh fronted cabinetry forms the centrepiece, exhibiting eclectic objets d’art, including the trademark ELYX polished copper pineapples. The copper theme runs through everything from the marble topped table edging to the “Skal’ light boxes, to stunning effect. Reclaimed boarding and vine-draped pergola bring a natural element to this beautifully structured exterior design.
Abbey Road Studios
Renovation of the restaurant and bar area, for this world famous institution, included complete strip out and re-fit, to the Shaun Clarkson ID design specification.
The high specification renovation of this luxury apartment in a leafy, canal side West London avenue was in conjunction with Chelsea interior design house Gunter and Co. Works involved stripping, remodelling and refitting the space, including made to measure joinery items by sister company BarrJoinery.
Box Tree Farm
and the addition of a bespoke orangery with internal / external French door sets and bespoke trelessing by BarrJoinery.
John Peers House
This stunning Grade II Listed former parsonage, commissioned in 1846 by John W Peers, vicar of Tetsworth, was renovated in 2015. A Period features were retained whilst the interior was given a high contemporary twist. Several sash windows and French doors were replaced or restored by BarrJoinery and original window shutters, marble mantle pieces, the magnificent mahogany staircase, decorative fireplaces, panelled doors, original skirting and decorative cornices were given a new lease of life.
The complete renovation of this Victorian residential property included restoration of multiple sash windows, as well a re-decoration throughout. A joint project by sister compan BarrJoinery and StuartBarr CDR.
StuartBarr CDR were privileged to act as principal contractor for the renovation of the Jesus College dining hall. Intricate, specialist renovation and refurbishment works were carried out by the StuartBarr CDR team, alongside trusted specialist sub-contractors.
Internal and external alterations sympathetic to the heritage and architecture of the building. Demolition of single and 2 story extension. Creation of new kitchen/ family room. New marble laid bathroom suites, alterations to roofscape, redecoration, including remoulding of original plasterwork, throughout. Bespoke bi-folding doors, windows and unique, handmade rooflight by BarrJoinery. Extensive landscaping to the rear of the building.
Albion Barn was the conversion of a derelict barn to a stand alone vaulted high specification kitchen/entertaining space with boot-room, utility and WC. The objective is to build a linkage structure to the main house as part of its 2017/18 renovation. A joint project with sister companies BarrJoinery and BarrKitchens.
This beautiful period property was a joint project for the Barr Group, with StuartBarr CDR working in collaboration with sister companies BarrKitchens and BarrJoinery to complete this stunning renovation. Three dormer windows project vertically beyond the plane of the pitched roof bringing in extra natural light and usable space in the top floor of the property. At the side of the home leading off from the Barrkitchen you will find an intergrated garden room with glazed screens and traditional French doors, to match the restored bespoke joinery throughout. The construction team performed a thorough renovation throughout whilst sympathetically focusing on the stunning original features and flooring.
